Meet The Gateway To Antarctica Team
Gateway to Antarctica is Ōtautahi Christchurch’s official hub for connecting opportunities that arise from Christchurch’s unique status as an Antarctic Gateway city.
We are here to deliver the city’s Antarctic Gateway Strategy, and be a key point of contact, offering advice and assistance to international Antarctic Programmes operating from or visiting Christchurch under the Antarctic Treaty System.
We work closely with local organisations, businesses, the scientific community and other stakeholders to ensure Christchurch is an exemplary Antarctic Gateway City. We can offer introductions to key Antarctic partners and stakeholders, so contact us should you require further information.

Dave comes from a commercial background, is an expert networker and relationship builder and has a strong appreciation of our Antarctic gateway status with a clear vision to drive Christchurch’s Antarctic Gateway Strategy.

With over two decades of event and project management experience, Lizzie likes a challenge. What better way to represent Ōtautahi Christchurch, than to implement the outreach and engagement outcomes outlined in the Christchurch Antarctic Gateway Strategy.
