The thrill of the Adventurer: Tasman Glacier Heli Hike with Mount Cook Ski Planes and Helicopters. This unique journey combines a scenic helicopter flight over Aoraki/Mt Cook with an unforgettable exploration of New Zealand’s largest glacier. In summer, your guide will provide crampons for navigating the icy terrain, while winter offers options for snowshoeing or a combination of both. After fitting your gear, you’ll venture onto the glacier, discovering amazing ice formations and following your guide, who uses skills passed down from New Zealand’s mountain pioneers. Each hike is unique, as the glacier is constantly changing, and you’ll spend up to 2 hours on the ice, weather permitting.
